Exhaust Question - What else can I do?

Besides headers, what more can I do then axleback's that'll really free up some HP? I don't care about the sound - but I'd like to try to make my exhaust "complete".

I am not doing F.I. , at least anytime soon. So I believe lt's will be the way to go for headers - Does anyone reccomend a certain brand/model?

How hard is it to isntall headers in the S197?

A mid pipe. a full exhaust with headers might yield a 10-20 hp gain with the right tune.

our exhausts are free flowing with the 2.5". The only restriction is the factory cats. If you want you can change out the mid pipe to an H or an X pipe with high flow cats.

As far as mid pipe... is it true that
H pipe = chambered mufflers and X pipe = straight through mufflers ?

Also is it true that lt headers are for n/a motors?

The h pipe x pipe is correct.

The headers are more for FI not NA. The stock manifolds flow pretty well for NA. If you are gonna go FI then LT's would help.

I have pypes LT's on my car and didn't notice any power difference at all. I am going FI in the future, that is why I did it.

Headers on NA will change the sound, but minimal gains.

My axlebacks are a mix of a chamber and glasspack..so which would work better with my setup? I'd rather do it the right way ya know - also what brand pipe and cats are reccomended for the S197?
