EGR blockoff

Currently giving the FI treatment to the 5.0 in my 68' but i need some advice.
1. When removing the EGR and installing a block off plate are the 2 small coolant hoses nessesary( i am not useing the 5.0 heater hose tubes)
2. How to test an A9L computer
3. Source for 02 sensor harness ( its the only part i am missing )
4. Any info that might be important that i should know

I took the coolant hoses off long before removing and blocking off the EGR.

The hoses arent necessary i plugged mine off. I got my 89 mass air harness from mustang parts specialties. They are a mustang junkyard out of georgia.

So whats the deal with eliminating the egr besides cleaning up the engine bay.I dont think theres any real hp gain.

My heads didnt have egr passages in them so the egr wouldnt work anyway.

the EGR is an exhaust gas recirculation valve sends gases back into the intake that have not be combusted in the combustion chamber back into the intake to get re-ignited good for emissions bad for power. sending hot exhaust gas back into the intake heates up the intake charge.

check out www.rjminjectiontech.com they got all types of harnesses and resistors for the emissions delete and all I did a wire tuck and cleaned up all the emissions on my 91 notch and it looks a 100 times better.

hey from my experience from yrs of owning n buildin mustang the 5.0 runs better w/o the coolant lines hooked up to the egr it just heats the air going into the motor n u dont want that the cooler the better well good luck
