Cylinder 6 down

ok well i noticed that when i am going to a stop my car shakes and i found out that cylinder 6 is not firing. so people told me to try to change the spark plugs or the coil pack for the cylinder.. what is it called and is it hard to install.. i just got the car so i am running on 5 cylinders right now LOL =/ ... but when i fix the problem will i see a bit more power into the car and a little more louder?

the coil pack goes over the spark plug. if you have a misfire its most likely a fouled plug or a bad coil pack. the coil pack is very simple to change you just pull the old one out and put the new one in. However they are a bit expensive. I believe around 60 bux for one

ah thats what its called thank you? so do i only need to change the 1 coil pack for the 6th cylinder? and so most cases it is the coil pack?

yup no problem. and yea most likely its that. did your car throw any codes? and yea you can replace just that one. replacing all of them will provide a hotter spark however it will hurt your wallet and its unnecessary.

went to change the plugs today but the guy didnt have time so im going back tomorrow to do the plugs because there a couple i cant get to easily

i think my dad fixed it today it feels like it has more kick and isnt really making vibrating when i stop

As far as i know 6s dont have coil on the plug it was probably a bad plug wire . i would try that before the coil.

what was the pronblem? I know 6's dont have COP's

it did have the coil pack changed and that i think was the problem because the car has more kick and doesnt vibrate when i stop slowly.

i was having the same problem but with cylinder #3.i found out the the spark plug cable was burned out. some times that can be 1 of the problems.cable can also be loose or sparkplug might may not be good anymore.
