My 85 mustang tends to like to shut off whenever i applied the brakes but only when i applied the brakes hard car stalls and shuts off. other than that it runs pretty good what can that be? has new carb by the way

I would start with the carb adjustments. It might be loading up.

Sounds like the rear float is too high. When you stop on the brakes the fuel spills up and out the boosters or the vent.

oh thanks wish i knew how to adjust it lol

its not too hard, unscrew the sights on the side of the bowls and adjust the needles until the fuel level is up to the bottom of the hole, make sure the fuel pump is on. im sure if you google it you can find a write up with pics
