could be driving city also it is colder out, I get poor mileage in the winter probably from letting the car warm up. I don't think the tune or the octane should be a factor. A tune usually increases mileage a bit. What kind of mileage are you getting?

I went to pick my sister up from school so I reset the Avg MPG, it returned pretty much around 19mpg on mostly highway with little traffic. I know in the same traffic conditions I've clocked in more around 24 / 25. What really had me alert to this was knowing the gas milage was suppose to improve I had the info center on miles to empty and was really suprised as I warmed up this car before I left for 5 minutes to drop from 215miles to 213. The big shock was when I filled up with 89, it read 250 miles, since then I only driven the car twice just to pick up my sister which is a 22 mile round trip not even, so thats say 44 miles since fill up and when I parked the car tonight it now reads under 185 miles. I just have a feeling something isn't right and maybe I screwed up somewhere or possibly the tune isn't spot on?

unfortunately I might stick with 87 for the winter since all the stations around here are up to 3.31 on 89 and just under 3.50 for 93. And just seems like the prices go up 5 cents ever 4 days or so. Guess thats karma for me lol.

I accidentally reset mine last year messing around with the mycolor thing and it was telling my 12mpg for a while. It took a while for it to go back up to 19, that and I'm not sure how accurate that message center is in the first place. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

hey everyone i just got my first mustang in august and just modified the exterior. most of my family works with cars and they are telling me that those cai dont do anything :/. i wanna get a bbk intake and then get an exaust after saving some money up. would i get ay chage performance wise if i added it? i hae an 05 automatic.

You will see a big change in performance if you do right with a tuner. I've had the Ford Performance Racing Cold Air Intake in for a few weeks and I love it, car really opened up alot. I highly recommend the tuner though, I've have mine from AM's Bama tuners and driven on their 87 street and 89 performance, its alot different from stock. I know they say the BBK is no tuner required but still since I had to turn my car to stock to update the tuner I tried it out felt alot of lag an a real loss of power, then again the FRPP CAI requires a tune. In my honest opinion a CAI is a corner stone to upgrading and tuning your car.
