Hey everyone! I just got my Mustang a few weeks ago and its a 2000 GT Convertible and I start my new job in like 2 weeks so I should be getting modding money pretty quick and I was wondering whats the best way to lower my Stang? I have 18" rims on it and want to get rid of some of the wheel gap. I know I'll be spending quite a bit of money for a good setup but I'm okay with that haha I was thinking adjustable coilovers but I'm not sure what would be best and can't real find anything about coilovers. So what would be the best route for me to take? Thanks in advance!

well if i do lowering springs, isn't it better to get aftermarket struts to since the stock ones aren't made to ride lower? and the money's worth it in a way cause i plan to have this car for a long time. I'm still in college so I don't really have expenses besides gas, car insurance, and my phone bill, so I figured I'd mod while I can haha
When I did my springs I did Tokico shocks and struts. Purchased 88 or 85 Mustang size struts for the front and rode real nice. Also went with the caster camber plates, the Steeda ball joints and bump steer. I now have coils overs all around and it rides a bit stiffer because its set up for easier / faster weight transfer.
for now I plan on just making it a nice car, kind of showy over the course of the next few year I wanna get all the body parts I wnat then have it repainted and then redo tho whole interior. I've only driving 4cyl's before this so this is enough power for now and my engine has to high of mileage to do anything major too. The car in my spring, summer, and fall DD now. And as far as budget like I siad I will be making good money this summer and working over 40 hours a week so I'll be pretty flexable

look into the Tokico kit. Springs and struts. Coil overs are noisy.

I have the tokico adjustable. All you do is turn them with a special key they give you. You set the ride to your liking. They work great for the money.
I do not know how much you are looking to spend but...School and trying to save some money while having fun / looking good? I would go with the springs (H&R), new front struts, CC plates, bump steer and a alignment. If you have a few bucks left look into sub frames, they are like night and day when driving. Try to find the stuff used or NIB that people just changed their minds mid way or never had the chance to install them.
I might have some Steeda C/C plates and a bumpsteer kit in my garage someplace if you need. I'll let them go for pretty cheap IF they are still there. I ordered double by accident many years ago and never had the time to return them and just forgot about them.
I like my coil overs but payed for them. As for them being noisy? they do not make any noise but I feel the road so much more. All do to the spring rate and the shocks and struts. A minor trade off for what I want to do with my Mustang.
