Clutches .... Ideas?

What's up guys. Time for this years mods. I pulling the motor for new heads, intake and timing set and I'd be retarded not to change my clutch while it's out.

I'm already ordering stuff from AM so I was thinking of getting one from them. I just wanted to hear any feedback from anyone who has bought one from there.

They only have 2 different clutches .... "Spec" and "Ram". Yeah, I seen the Fidanza ones, I'm not going there.

So come on guys & gals, lets hear some opinions. :awesomework:

Yeah, the last post my section ... 11am. The next 1 ... 2 days ago.:nono:

Ya'll hang out in the clubhouse, there's too few '96 2V'ers.:(


Anyways, you like the stage 3's. I wasn't thinking over a 2. I'm doing MMR stage II heads w/pi cams, PI intake, and a SCT x3 tuner.

How's the stage 3 clutch at red lights?

Ram HDX, cheap and you don't need anything stronger than that unless you're going blown.
or Spec stage I which is not any better but $100 more expensive.
also king cobra clutch is good

I'm feeling cheap, but I'm leaning toward the Ram HDX. It's rated to 450HP. Well more then I'm going reach.

Tim, them Centerforce DF's sounds excellent. I was checking them out on JEGGs. But the one I would need (10 spline) was like $380.:(

I was budgeting $300 +/-. There's one in that range but it's for "aftermarket" trannys, (26 spline)?


With the Ram HDX, I can save $120. I also will fall into the "don't get more clutch than you need" zone.:headbang:
