I am sure most of you are very familiar with the Drive train slop that Ford has allowed the Mustangs of the assembly line with and the more performance Mods
you do the car, the more this slop gets in your way. The slop really got to me after doing suspension, i can hear it and feel it alot more now.
You don't see K Member braces mentioned often but it came up in a thread about drive train noise. its a very expensive mod ($160) and its a simple bolt-on install, so figured i would give it a shot.

What makes this CHE K Member brace a great mod is that it also has billet torque links that are bolted up to your trans, keeping your it from swaying side to side so much during spirited driving.
The install took 30 min on a lift and could easily be done on jack stands, there were different torque specs for each set of bolt so its a good idea to have one for this install. The links were adjustable, poly bushing that connect the links with the brace and there are spherical ends that connect to the trans. I have a convertible, so they already come with a K-Members brace' from the factory, that was removed, the CHE unit is way better constructed.
You can def feel the difference as soon as you put the car in gear. Getting into first was smoother and less notchy, everything seemed to line up better, you don't have to wrestle 5th gear and Reverse as much. It really keeps things more aligned when your bangin through gears. Even with the MGW shifter, i noticed that every so often you get missed shifts. Although its not a HUGE change, some stiffness was added to the front that you can feel and Along with the Strut bar things are pretty stiff up front.
This is an inexpensive mod thats easy to install, it should be on your list if you have a manual or you like to Drag race / Autocross. Its not a miracle mod that will get rid of all your drive train slop all together but it sure helps reduce it some.
