Finally got my car finished!!!! (well, all except the carb tune that is!)
After months and months of what seemed to be a summer without the beast, has finally turned into neck breaking car rides again. The new tranny and flywheel went in, along with some rear end work, and the new parts are doing what they should.
I am left with a tough situation though, as my carb is in dire need of a really good tune. I don't have much experience tuning, and I tried to hook up a vacuum gauge and go off the vacuum number and changes, but I couldn't get it tuned properly. It is a 750cfm Quick Fuel carb q series.
Does anyone know of a great tuner for these carbs out there?? The motor is a 408 stroker with 225cfm AFR heads, custom grind hydraulic cam (don't know specs), edlebrock rpm airgap intake, etc. etc.
In desperate need of the advice of a great tuner out there! I know there has to be someone in here!!
P.S. have the dynosheets from when we had a junk 650 carb on it, 535hp @6krpm/555tq@3200rpm
