Car won't start..

Noticed a few weeks ago that every so often the car won't start.. If I put my foot on the brake and push the shifter forward while its in park it usually just starts. Today twice I couldn't get it started for a couple minutes each time. I got a B&M Ratchet shifter.. Any clues on what this could be? The cars a 95 GT auto.

Nope, i can turn it on accessory... But usually it starts right up. Weird, it wouldnt start on me twice today.. It took awhile for it to start. Man this cars pissing me off

Think I should pull the console apart and check the shifter cable?? No its not a carb. Stock 95 5.0 automatic, only mods--> ratchet shifter, cai, 76mm maf.

Did this happen before the ratchet shifter? You can check for codes.

That would be my first place to check. if no crank. Then starter. try tapping starter may jar it loose for one more crank.
