Best gears for Long Island Mustangs!

A lot of great opinion and I think most would be happy. But as many said in certain driving conditions they can also be too much for a DD as far as comfort goes when it's a stick. (or maybe I'm just an old bastard and lazy) :rofl:
To be honest it was the sole reason I sold my 99 Procharged GT. I bought the car 100% dead slow ass stock and did A LOT of Mods in a short period of time. I made the mistake of switching to 4.10's BEFORE I installed the Procharger and when I did those 4.10's were ridicules for driving around town. Even if I took off in 2nd (which I did pretty much all the time) the second I got into boost it was another gear or two instantly, then back down, then back up, then back down, over and over...
Dont get me wrong I'm not saying it was too much gear what I'm saying is it was too much work
(especially for a Supercharged Stick) for "me".
For an DD Auto I'd say no prob
For a weekend warrier MONSTER, fu@# that go with 4.33's
For a Supercharged DD Stick I'd say you better REALLY enjoy A LOT of shifting
For a DD Stick it's pretty got dam impressive but if I had to do it again I'd go with 3.73's or 3.90's

I just joined the forum and this was one of the first threads I read.
I have 4.10's on my 04GT and I moved to LI a little over 2 years ago.
At first I really wish I didn't have such steep gears because of the lights/traffic etc, but they really do make your car very fun to drive over stock gears.

I'm waiting for the Spring and am still undecided. I talked to a couple of local new edge owners and they love their 3.73's in a manual (nobody had 4.10's). If you have a manual, take me for a cruise 
I just bought 17x10.5 wheels with Nitto NT555 tires and a SCT tuner. Just waiting for the snow to melt and a relatively mild day to install. I'm hoping to feel some gains from the tune. Modding is addicting and costly. I'm trying to make relatively wise financial decisions considering I'd like trade up to an S197 in the next couple of years plus I have a mortgage to pay.
Besides gears, lowering springs are on the top of my list. Mechanically I'm not a DIY guy, so it gets expensive.

What's up Stangers? Today is windy as hell and a cart rolled into my car and left a nice ding! I'm so pissed, but I already have a paintless dent repair guy coming tomorrow. It's going to drive me crazy if I have to look at it.
Anyway, had the 4.10's installed at Mustang Magic yesterday. Although Joe over there doesn't feel a break in period is needed, I haven't mashed em too hard yet. I'm very happy and glad I didn't go with 3.73's for my N/A 2V.
The instant acceleration makes the car so much more fun to drive! 1st gear is usable, but of course pretty short. I often shift around 3,500-4,000 RPMs now instead of around 3,000. I love letting the engine rev and hearing the exhaust. At 80 on the parkway, drone was minor and the car is perfectly streetable. Also, I don't necessarily shift more since a lot of times there is no need to downshift like I did with 3.27 gears.
Gas? I've never analyzed MPG and never will. I'm running the 89 performance tune now and will try the 93 race soon.
I know my New Edge will never by considered fast by today's standards, but they're one of the coolest looking Stangs IMO and I'm really enjoying my new hobby. Thanks a lot for everybody's help

I loved the difference they gave my old GT too, unfortunately after I went Supercharged I couldn't hook worth a shit with them and it wound up so dam fast all it seemed I was ever doing was banging gears.
One thing is for sure, they absolutely wake the car up
