Best cam for mach 1

What is the best cam for a mach 1 ? Also what is the easiest to just install and go.?

Im a big fan of the 96-98 cobra cams. They have the best power for the money. They have 24 degrees more duration than stock and have an offset grind to induce swirl, something the aftermarket cam manufacturers can't duplicate due to cost. You can buy a used set for around 1 to $200 bucks. You can buy them new from ford for around 170 each. You dont need exhaust cams. The 96-98 Cobra ex cams, 03-04 Cobra ex cams and the mach 1 ex cams are the same. As far as ease of installation, they all take a bit of work. In the end, it all depends on what your after. Could get the Comp stage 2 or 3 and pay $1500 or buy the 96-98 stockers and still enjoy a smooth idle and decent power.

Any idea what type of power increase the 96-08 cobra cams would result in?

96-98 cams like said above is the best bang for the buck. 15-25rwhp roughly from what I remember seeing, more on a SC'ed car.

^^^^^ What he said. 15 to 25 is an average number. The increase in intake duration and the 03-04 mach 1, cobra, marauder heads makes a potent combo and retains stock idle characteristics, PERFECT for an eventual turbo
