automatic tranny

How do I know what kind of automatic transmission I have? C4 or what.The gear bezel has P,R,N,OD,D,1...im looking to put a B&M ratchet shift in it and I need to know what I have so I can order the proper cables.Alls I know is its an automatic with O.D. and its stock except for a shift kit in the transmision.Any help would be great..BTW its a 1991 LX 5.0L auto.

Those shifters suck. I had one in my car when I bought it and it was more of a pain in the ass than anything else and Id rather have the stock shifter. You still cant hit second gear with that shifter without shifting 1-d-1 because of the way the valvebody is set up.

I ended up having a 5 speed swap done.
