Except this one is coming together a bit faster haha. I made a thread a while back about my new to me car...and this time it's not a 4 cylinder or V6! lol. It's an 1989 Lx 5.0 5 speed that I had to do almost 10 hours of driving total to get it. I got it as a non-running, half assed carb conversion car with a cast intake manifold and a broken 2 barrel carb. It had sat for a long time, and was worked on by a few backwoods "mechanics" who have no idea what the hell they were doing.
So far I have put a Performer 289 intake on with a 4 bbl Edelbrock carb, new distributor, Holley pressure regulator, long tubes, and a bunch of little stuff like the msd stuff and your basic tune up. The car sits on Eibach springs and KYB shocks/struts and I love the Prime wheels that are on it. I'm not home right now so I don't have any pictures of how it looked when I fist got it, but I will update the post with them later. I got it non running and it now runs, not perfect, but the carb and timing need to be played it. I am also about halfway through with converting the ugly black and red interior to my black and grey set up that was in my '90 LX.
I have also swapped a lot of body panels from my 90 sicne I had them almost ready for paint(all of the black parts) along with the cowl hood. To be honest, I'm not sure how I feel on the hood as I think it maybe a little big, but I traded some stuff for it that I was never going to use so I figured what the hell.
And so yeah, here's a couple of pictures...
