ive been gathering the parts to do this for a while now, big thanks to MUSTANGCHRIS for hooking me up with the covers and the idea to do this. thanks to THEREDMONSTER on svtp, for providing an excellent made plug and play harness for the conversion. and also Derek (95SC) on svtp, he has MANY sets of COPs availible, new and used, for great prices. the links are at the bottom.
as far as installing everything, it wasnt bad at all. way easier then i expected, considering how little clearance there is on these 4v motors. i had to remove the motor mount to K bolt and raise the engine to remove the head cover which was what i expected for clearance. didnt have to remove the clutch i just removed the bracket on the frame rail and pushed it aside. on the passenger cover, it seemed a little tight so i removed the TB for clearance and it made it easy as cake to remove.
the conversion it self is finished, but i still have much to do under the hood to clean everything up. heres a quick list
-relocate power steering res.
-remove coil pack brackets
-straighten/ re loom visible wires
-reroute that hose that goes from driveside of the intake manifold to the intake tube. ( hate how it covers the plaque on the head cover)
-delete EGR, SAI systems.
-finish hiding huge connector by the pass. side firewall.
heres every pic i took. keep in mind its still not done, and the fact the coil pack brackets are still there kind of defeats the purpose of why i did this.
just to start, what it looked like with Coil packs and wires
the only progress i have made since i did this, is almost nothing at all actually. i found the right size bolts i needed for the COP covers, and also, i replaced my old coolant crossover with a stripped /seized drilled cap, with a fairly new looking one. i removed the split wire looms to replace them with new stuff, please excuse the mess.
i will be updating this with pictures when i get more done
thanks for reading! (or just looking at the pictures thats fine too)
EDIT: if any wants to do this, here is the link where you can find the custom plug and play harness.

here is a thread where you can buy the COPs. he has dozens of sets new and used for good prices.

now all you need to do if find yourself a set of valve covers and your set!
the only other small things you will need, valve cover gaskets, some black RTV, and a longer PCV hose. you will also have to reroute the PCV intake hose (not exactly sure thats what its called) on the passangerside. i just used a breather cap as you can see. seems to work just fine!
