95 gt need meth for 10lbs??

I have been working on dads ride for over 2 weeks now preparing it for the new Kenne bell Blowzilla 2.2.

They told me that if I run 10lbs of boost I need to run meth injection. This makes no sense to me at all.

anyone have any ideas??? Waldo, Nick, Travis?


I am going to run ( it may blow) 15+lbs to this bad boy and see what happens.

Should be installed by wed night if they ever get the thing to me.

I ran 11lbs at the track with a 1.5L and it was fine in a friends car I built. Whats the rest of the combo? 10lbs would be the MAX without water/alcohol or race gas with a 2.2 on a 5.0 because of the discharge temps be REALLY high. 15lbs will require water/meth for sure.

Without water/meth I'd stick to around 8-9 lbs personally, this is from experience 1st hand.

Are you getting the car tuned or at least a chip/injectors/maf?

The car has forged internals, 2.02/ 1.90 heads, roller cam. I already had a centri on it and it was tuned and put down 400+ at about 7 lbs of boost.

It has a 255 in tank, 42lb injenctors, 90mm mass air.

Looks like I have to get the meth kit. Thanks

What cam is in the car?

I did Edelbrock 6037 heads (1.90/1.60), stock shortblock including cam, Holley Systemax 1 lower, 42lbers, 1.7 rockers, 90mm LMAF, and the old 1.5L KB and ran 11.75@119, still one of the fastest 1.5L times and faster than some of the 2.2 times out there with more mods.

This was only 346/384 with 7lbs but I ran 10-11lbs at the track with 93/110 mix

Stock bottom end
GT40X Aluminum heads
Steeda 19 cam
Kenne Bell 1.5L @ 10PSI
Smog pump delete

Dynojet corrected #'s: 437rwhp 495rwtq which is killer for a stock bottom end with a mild cam and a 1.5L

I think 15lb's is a bit much Greggory...With pops set up 8-9lb's should be more then enough and even at theN i would run meth..These blowers tend to run hot

Yea, they do! You can fry eggs on them! LOL That old 1.5L had no bypass since it was one of the original kits and talk about heat soak. It was a reliable SC though and alot of fun on the street.

3.55 gears were also plenty, I ripped off a 1.58 0ft with a 3500 launch on slicks. I could have gotten better than a 11.75 but the Centerforce clutch was slipping. I backed up the 11.75 with a 11.8 and 11.9 but the trap speed dropped to 118 iirc. That was in 2001

I think 15lbs would split the block personally...

Well ,it will be here Tuesday or wed, I got the blowzila/flowzilla with internal bypass.

Maybe some 4.10's being that we dropped the 5sp on favor of a aod.
Nick has seen the car and has spoke with Pops a few times.

I want to get it ready for the sansone track rental and see what it can do, and also put a big fat N/T on the back window Right Nick!!!!

No problem man. Lot's of good info too on 50/50 kits and such as well, also why other kits are built to only handle 50/50. Julio (the owner) is a good guy though and if you call him up on the phone he'll talk to you for hours about anything you want to know about meth injection and his system.

Gonna leave it at 8lbs for now. Then later on bump it up to 10 maybe at most 12
