95 gt... bad starter? clutch maybe??

ok here is the deal... I replaced the starter in early may of this year and again it seems as though my car has eaten the starter up... I have 2 issues when I turn the key... A) it does nothing, no click no anything but the fuel pump turns on and the dash lights up similar to turning the key without pushing the clutching in. or B) The motor ever so slowly turns over and the tach bounces as though the clutch is slightly engaged. But it is not enough to start the car.

I find it really hard to believe that the starter is done already. This would be the 3rd time in 3 years that I would have to put a new starter in it.....

Any suggestions? It is the stock clutch still... is there any adjusting it? I plan on putting a new clutch in the car next spring but I need to drive it for a little more than a month until I put it into storage.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!! I am really in need of some advice

i went trhu 2 starters in the past 6 months,must have somthin to do with the heat,ur clutch souldnt stop ur car from startin,i can leave mine in first and the starter will move the whole car,,,also check the wire that goes to the starter,this happened to me,the little nubs on metal piece that bolts to starter check to see if there hitting the case of the starter,i had to bend those little tabs off,check that thou cause mine did the same thing

well on the back of the starter there is a rubber cap that is supposed to protect oil and dirt from getting inside the starter... well the manufacturer didnt glue the cap all the way around and i have a very very slight leak in my oil pan gasket right near the starter so it ran under the cap and basically shorted the whole deal out.... NOT BAD!!! my buddy jokingly said my car is just pissing horsepower haha soooooo anyways while in the whole process I also took the battery I bought 4 months ago from them in to be tested... its rated to 610 CC amps and it was putting out 902... which means there is a broken cell in the battery and they didnt want to replace it even though it was under warranty. So yeah the hell with autozone ill go to advance or napa from now on. Maybe the quality will be better and customer service will be as well.

It may have 610 Cold Cranking Amps but how many Cranking Amps at the temp you took it out. I have never heard of a bad cell creating MORE amperage.

no idea i pulled it out of the car and took in straight there and the battery was at 76 degrees... im just going by what i was told. at any rate the battery is shot
