65 Convertible

My first car was a 65', rusted and ugly, but it was mine, and I was only 13

Welcome to the site, A 65 v8 vert, pony interior,A/C, Wire wheel spinner Hubcaps, Rally Pac, and 1964 Worlds Fair License Plates!!!!!!!! Oh man I'm in love,(With your car). It looks like it's a newer purchase for you(the shipping truck)? I've got a gang of 65-66's and I've been messing with these cars for a bunch of years now so if you need any input,specs, or want to just B.S. about Mustangs ,etc. Let me know

Yes - New purchase. My first car was a 65 Coupe (with a 200) that my dad got for me in 1992. It was a real rat and my parents eventually would not let me drive it.
I picked this one up in December. It was built in San Jose and spent its life in a few garages in New Mexico. It still has the original pony seats (the running horse inserts are more olive green than the repros). I talked to the original owners wife a month ago; she is 92 and confirmed that the car is nearly all original. It was kind of funny that she knew almost every detail of the car (wheels, carb, etc). So in absence of the non-existent Marty report for 65 and 66s, its as original as I can tell.
I am itching to throw a GT style exhaust on it and new wheels, but its too original to mess with. Now im looking for a 69 convertible that I could mod.
I am going to put it in the parade in Garden City next weekend, if anyone would like to see it.
