Is your car carb or fuel injected? They both have good benefits, carb going to be a little cheaper in cost. Fuel injected more dependable after you get it tune. Cost of tune is can be expensive. Bottom line it's your choice and what you feel comfortable with. Good luck with your build keep us posted.
Personally, if the car is already efi, I would keep it efi. It will run great no matter what the temperature is and yield decent mpgs. Just my opinion.
I built a 427 stroker for my 95 and used a Trick Flow manifold and plenum for the EFI. The problem was there was no hood that would clear the height of the engine, had to use a Harwood 6" cowl, I hate it.
