alright so i so basically i want 300 to the wheels.. so far all i got for my auto 01 mustang gt is full exhaust lt headers borla exhaust so i was wondering what should i do to get the 300 mark im gonna try and stay n/a but when all said and done if im short ima throw a turbo with like 6psi to get it done but wat i was gonna do was k&n cai, steeda udp, typhoon/trickflow intake manifold, bbk 75mm tb, intake spacer im going to try and do everything i know i need to do heads cams so i was thinking of doing trickflow heads coming out soon and comp cams so any input will help this is going to be a long project considering im a broke college student but just want some input from you knowledgeable guys......... o and also im going to throw 4.10 gears in them i know it doesnt add hp but just throwing it out there

Depends on your budget. You could get 400rwhp by just putting on a supercharger and nothing else or get full bolt on's and just reach a little over 300 rwhp. Don't get my wrong, going full bolt-on is great but i just took a different route and will do my heads, cams, headers and bottom end at a later date.
And like Ramair said, you won't be happy with 300rwhp you will always want more trust me. Im not even content with over 400rwhp anymore

so toughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhhhhh but i got an auto so i dont know if my tranny could handle a supercharger thats why i wanted to stay n/a but ima go the ball bolt ons route first and then if that dont work ima slap on a supercharger and maybe upgrade the tranny but after it all said and done and i do get 300 to the wheels i think i still might throw a supercharger on it to get some nice power
i wouldnt worry about yout tranny holding up as much as i would worry about your block shooting out a rod. I wouldnt recommend anyone doing heads and cam vs a blower. the money you put into the work with the heads/cams and tuning your already almost at the cost of a blower. the only reason why i went this route was bc my spark plug blew out of the head. i make 305 on a mustang dyno id easily make 320rwhp+ on a dyno jet. Im pretty happy with it but i drive the 365 days a year and it has 100k on the block so i dont need to be pissing out rods
You will have to replace those headers, and gears once you get a turbo. You need to set out a plan and stick to it or you will be essentially wasting money.
If you want 300 get a set of hitech stage 2 cams and then you will be there. Whether you will be satisfied will be a personal preference.
If you are hellbent on getting a power adder in the future get a set of custom cams, they will work with your future setup. If you are going turbo the 4.10s will have you in 5th gear at the end of the track..................:nono:

ill be honest with you, if you do cams and heads your going to probly need pistons too.. because depending on the cams you get they wont garentee that your pistions will have enough clearance.. see ford used a number of diffrent vendors to make the pistions in the sn95's so the problem is even though the pistions are within spec for fords production the aftermarket cams are not always going to fit every car, for instance a Xtreme Energy™, XE262AH
Excellent Torque, Mid-Range Torque for a gt mustang by comp cams may or may not work with your stock pistions..so if you buy a cam be very very careful.
so save yourself some money, get gears, a cold air intake with a throttlebody and plenum and a ported typhoon intake, a set of under-drive pulleys and a dyno tune from either a sct dealer or a crm diablo dealer.
all i can say is if i were to do it all over again i just would have done a kenne bell or a vortech and just a cat back exhaust not all of the little things, dont get me wrong a set of heads and cams will sound great and make over 300 rwhp but will never come close to the price for a blower and its power and driveability.just my opinion

id love to do a blower right away my dad wont let me, at 18 he doesnt want me to have that much power since the car is under my moms name im inclinded to do what he says but i think ima do all the lil bolt -ons and crap then do heads cams gonna do the trickflow heads but ill look into what cams clear the pistons hopefully the comp cams doing so and hopefully with cams heads be over 315 to the wheels but anything of 3 fine wit me

At 18 I am sure anything around 300rwhp will be more than you can deal with. Sign up to run at a auto cross event or road course to learn your car while in a controlled environment.
If you do get the Trickflow heads you will not have to worry about piston to valve contact as there valve geometry was altered from the PI heads. You will however be paying someone a TON of money to install those heads and cams.

Find out exactly what ya wanna do, and stick with that route. It will cost ya an arm and a leg to switch setups, trust me lol.
For the price of a TrickFlow h/c/i package+install youre looking at around 3-4K+
Id say throw a few boltons on it for now and wait for a turbo setup. Orr, get it tuned and throw a 100 shot on it. That'll wake it up enough for ya for a little bit.

dont care so much for track numbers i mean ill go to the track here and there maybe a couple times this summer to e town but otherwise i just like to get the power numbers right now already go the headers done so getting there, got a couple of friends who are mechanics but blew there own motor sooooooo idk if ima use them but i got a guy who did the headers install and is very good at what they do ( car there right now working on the pats system) ima give him a call and see what he says but for know ima do the bolt ons and then ill go from there thanks for all the helpful information you guys posting ill keep you guys updated with the setup
