2014 Mustang Rally of the Finger Lakes "50th Bday Celebration Year"

OK..So 380+ Mustangs showed up at Lake George this weekend for the Guinness record attempt, in addition 67 Mustangs were in Lake George for the NYM event. I heard they want to try again this year. We should contact them to do this with the Mustang Rally as we are already doing a parade. Thoughts on this? Dave..reaching out to you on this as you've spoken to Lisa.

I think that's a cool idea Dawn! The only thing I worry about is 700 Mustangs in the parade and how pissed off all of our clutches would be, LOL!

Ok guys, I know its a little early but I'm wondering what people are doing for hotels? I know you guys like the Microtel but I like the Ramada so I'm thinking of booking that for Thursday and Friday. Their rates are about $140 a night. Saturday availability is already starting to get limited. The Rally might be doing a wine tour on Thursday so I could just drive out early Thursday but if people are going out Wednesday night I can do that too. If they don't do the wine tour I can always do it on my own or hike the gorge.

What does everyone think about doing a cruise to Letchworth in Mt. Morris? At some point before or after the Rally? Dave Hilner just organized an event there last weekend. There was 60 cars. Its only 1.5 hours from the Geneva area?

Well that could be an idea for Thursday if we don't want to do the Winery Tour. Maybe cruise out there, have a picnic lunch and cruise back.

I'm getting ready to book my hotel. I am planning on going out on Wednesday and going home either Saturday or Sunday depending on when you guys are planning on going home. I think I'm going to stay at the Ramada Wednesday & Thursday then switch to Microtel for Friday and Saturday. I want to make a little vacation out of this since I'm not doing a summer vacation next year. What are everyone's plans?? :idk:

I just booked the Ramada for Wednesday - Friday night. Had some points so I got a free night there. Hopefully you guys will come hang out with me. You guys are coming right?? :smash:

I wouldn't mind staying at the Ramada again. I love how it's right on the water which is probably why it's priced higher than the others. We could be neighbors again! haha
