2014 GT/CS REVISED MODS for SEASON 2014

My 2014 GT/CS will get a VORTECH supercharger matched to a NEW Boss 302 manifold with a VORTECH upgraded CAI . Current RWP is around 350 Hp on the automatic 5.0. stock. Most of the mods have already been installed. They are as follows: Steeda panhard bar, Boss 302 brake lines, Boss alternator, GT 500 front dust shields, Powerslot rotors, Hawk HPS pads, Eibach struts and shocks, The drive shaft shop carbon fiber drive shaft, Ford Racing 355 gears, Torsen T2 differential, Ford Racing sway bar kit front and back, Ford Racing coil springs "P" 1 inch drop. GT 500 faned rear axle cover, Roush pedal kit, BBK X pipe, Borla Atak exhaust, Dual pillar gauges , water temperature and oil pressure. Yet to be installed , VORTECH supercharger with upgraded CAI, Boss 302 manifold, Boss Strut tower brace, and RAXIOM projector headlights smoked with new Raxiom H9 bulbs, Ford Racing Radiator and GT 500 fan complete all the MODS. I have never used this supercharger before, but it is highly reguarded as a solid upgrade . My 2010 GT runs on an Intercooled Whipple. This supercharger uses a different aproach to making its power. I'm not certain why you are dead set on getting a supercharger for the 5.0 as well. IMO throw the Boss 302 Intake Manifold on as well as a nice set of long tubes, get a proper tune for the auto and you will be making somewhere around 400HP.

If you are dead set on a Vortec I would hit up Terry at Beefcake racing and get one of the Beefcake specials and save yourself a couple of bucks in the process.

Then work on your suspension, i see that your dropped but also you don't have much in the way of suspension other then P springs and Eibach's. You are going to want to get in some LCA's and possible some UCA to get rid of that wheel hop and you then some lowering brackets to straighten up the geometry of your rear end since it is a bit out of wack not you lowered it. Also those pizza cutter 255s aren't going to cut it at all and you will just spin them all day like a carousel at the state fair. You are going to want something a bit beefier out back for sure.

Long tube headers and CAT emission issues avoided on conversion. Wheel hop issues can always be corrected. Steeda panhard bar was placed to adjust the rear end . The wheels are 245 45 AS Pirelis on 19" stock CS wheels . There just to finish the car. New wheels come later. Basic rubber for now. Lol. The MODS are mild on this 5.0. Still enough solid heavy duty upgrades over stock. The long tubes would do exactly what you said around 400HP. No long tubes on this 5.0. The GT will hold its "stock" CATS. I chose supercharging . Should be interesting to see the results. The 1'' drop as you said close to stock but they do nicely on my 2010 supercarged GT. My rear tires on my 2010 GT are 285 20x11 on NITTO INVOS. Wheel hop on the 2010 GT is liveable and it has more MODS than this 5.0. Cruiser car with some nice getup and go extras. Ty for the imput.

I am pretty new to this super charger thing but what was ur thinking of going with a vortech on a auto car? I have read that a centri super chargers are better suited for a manual and roots or twin screw is better suited for a auto car... Maybe i am missing something here

That has been debated . A kit is available for 5.0 Automatic. The right tunning is always important as you are aware. The Centri will do nicely. The 5.0 will get a custom DYNO tune.

2012 Mustang GT 5.0 automatic with a Vortech -3 supercharger, 3.15 gears MRT highflow catback exhaust, she put down 530rwhp 460tq, the installation was a little more complicated than our 2007 Mustang GT automatic mostly because of the modifications needed for the charge pipes and intercooler. I was unable to use the provided Vortech tune file because there's currently not one available for A 2012 automatic so Carl Chastin from Dyno Dan's located at the Dynojet RD Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada provided a custom tune. Overall I'm happy with this setup. I'm installing 3.73 Gears to reduce the 60' times a little more. The car so far has a best run of 12.20 At 119MPH at a 5500 DA. The Cars Trapspeed validates the Horsepower and with a good 60' should run low 11s high 10s with a good 60'. current 60' is around a 2.1 on 285/40-18 Nitto NT555R with good hook.
