Well I figured I'd update things to where I'm at....
So that motor I bought turned out to be junk...picked one up out of a Grand Marquise...waiting to find some winter work since my landscaping stuff is pretty much done so I can afford pistons, bearings, rings, ect.
Here's a few shots of the motor...
Dirty and EFI....
Little cleaner and CArbed.
Then I sandblasted my intake manifold with the bast cabinet at my school(which I will be using a LOT lol)
and then primed it...
and finally painted it.
I also picked up a bellhousing for $50 shipped! (still have to clean it but it's in good shape with no cracks)
Finally tonight I poped the front clip off and I'm in the process of rust proofing the front end....like the shock towers, radiator support, front frame rail, ect. Plus it looks nice. I might even do the engine bay with it and paint the car the original metallic gray but I feel with a black block it would be too much.
That's about where things are right now...I'm going to prime the jambs with so rattle can primer so they match and hit the body once more and that should be it for now. this winter I want to button up all the rust issues and get a good jump on the motor. I still have to rebuild the T5 so realistically maybe by late summer/ fall it would be ready to put in but we'll see.
