1967 Mustang Coupe Restomod Project

Well, I think the exterior is finally done, with the exception of installing cool rims. All of the chrome pieces are new except I didn't replace all of the stainless trim because it really didn't need all new stuff. The original trim just needed to be polished up a little.
The interior is done with the exception of the front seat covers. I still need to get those done. I also didn't feel like spending the money on new carpeting as the carpet that was in it has several years left on it. When I do, I might change the whole interior color to burgundy, not sure.
The motor and trans run great, but I think the Holley 750 cfm carb is too big, so I might need to replace that with a Holley 600 cfm. Also I might install the vinyl top back on the car, as it originally came that way. Again, not sure I want to do that right now.

This project would have NEVER been done without all the help in the world from a father/son team I was fortunate enough to meet. I'll call the father "Mustang Tony" and the son "Mustang Tony, Jr." as their names are Anthony and Anthony, Jr. Both of these guys bent over backwards to get this project done, for now!
If you're ever looking for a classic Mustang, whether it be a project or turnkey car, look Tony up on eBay at 07shelby500 (that's Tony's username). They both live in Northern NJ, and are great at what they do, and they're awesome people!!!!! I know Tony has SEVERAL cars he's thinning out of his collection, everything from a 1 of 1 1970 Grabber Mustang (project), a 1967 GTA Hardtop (turnkey car), and several others. Those two are going up on eBay in the next day or so.
The only thing that I will do ASAP is put a set of rims on the car. I'll post pics of those when I get them and get 'em installed!

The motor and trans are from a 1991 GT. So, 302 roller and AOD trans. The internals were hardened and polished, dyno'd at 345HP.
Well, I have some bad news I have to report. After driving the car for a few hours, not only did I notice the gas fumes were so unbearable, like if I had the windows up, it would have put me to sleep, I also had a little mishap with the charging system. Apparently, the wiring harness somehow got fried by the headers, so I have to replace it. I obviously need to replace the Holley 750cfm with something a bit smaller. I have the smallest jets in it as I can, any smaller and it would run like shit. So, looks like I have to figure out where I can come up with the $$$ for a Holley 600cfm, and not to mention the $$$ its going to cost for a new wiring harness. Good grief!
All in all though, the motor runs really well, and the car goes down the road impeccably. It rides nice and tight, steers really well, and stops straight, though I must admit, it has been a long time since I have driven a car with drum brakes, and they'll take a bit of getting used to.
Honestly, the pictures don't do the car justice. The paint quality is outstanding, and all the trim, new and original, look fantastic. The interior still needs a bit of work, like sun visors, a rear view mirror, a dome light, and the front seats (out of a 69 w/ headrests) need recovering. But again, the little things, like the doors shut tight, the windows roll smooth, there are no rattles, etc.
All in all, I'm really close to having all the gremlins worked out, but I'm not there quite yet. That's all for now. Guess I'm back to work on all the shit I said needs fixing. Hopefully, I'll get it all done in time for the Fingerlakes Rally. That's the objective, wish me luck!
