Contrary to old school approach, Get the biggest heads you can afford, something like tw205 or afr225. Yes they will work on a 302/331/347/363 but you'll need to be selective on the cam or better yet have a custom one designed for your purpose, that's what makes it all work. GL with the build.

He's got the 6btm which is the 6Al with the btm built into it. So it will have the soft touch rev limiter. What you probably have is the plain btm which is what comes with the vortech kits.

What's the plan? Does it really start at 9?
