damn that sucks, i had the same thing. my engine cost me 1500 for a new 4.6 PI. The pi is created more hp then a non pi. the bottom ends are the same though. just the heads are different

ya but the reason i lost oil pressure was due to the timing chain guides failing into the oil pan clogging the screen :(

Yea my kit was a new engine :D i didnt replace the chain cause like you, i was unsure of what it was so i kept driving it and it eventually spun a bearing and lost oil pressure... and that was that :(

Yup i had the same problem it started as a tick only at certain rpm, then it started to do it all the time and it got louder. The problem i had was my timing chain guides wore out. On our engines they are made out of plastic so the plastic wears away which then falls into your oil pan, clogging...
