Ford want way to much for the S/C. hell your car would benefit most from a cai and a tune.
I will do some research, i have a list here of things I have to look up.
The weight would not cause an idle surge. That is controlled by the tps (throttle positioning sensor). If your flywheel threw a weight it would shake the motor, not cause running problems.
The tps controls idle measures and also WOT for the puter.
Nothing major. The dam charging plug going to the alternator crapped out. We tried all sorts of things to get it to work, from business cards to aluminum foil from a cigarette pack.
We even lucked out and found some wire and a razor blade on the side of the road, Damn we are littering fools :D...

Theres your problem.
You need to upgrade the puter to a 5.0. All the parameters are set to the old motor. I will do some research and see what I can find to help you out.

Did you change the computer? Do you have a tune for the 5.0?
There are a few variables that need to be seen by the puter. # of cylinders, firing order, injector pulse, tps settings ETC................
Need as much info as possible before we can pinpoint your problem.

My cervinis hood was perfect. Minimal prep and fitment was great.
I have a buddy that has a similar hood by trufiber, and he has ran into some gelcoat problems, they are getting resolved, but for those on a budget, you can't beat cervinis.

Spray it up, let it sit, use a breaker bar at least 12" long. If no go, then give it the heat, just until it turns a slight red, no need to get it lava hot.
