new 408 stroker, running wayy to hot

I must have not been clear sorry for the confusion. I started with a bare 351w block (the one that used to be in the stang) then brought it to the machine shop and they built it up (I tried to save $$ by using some of my old parts that were still good i.e. the edlebrock rpm air gap performer...

new 408 stroker, running wayy to hot

It was dynoed with a different carb. At the time my carb was no good to use (holley 650 and the electric choke was effed up). I had to get a quick fuel 750 and I just bolted it on. I have a feeling its the timing because when I was at the dyno that was base timing and when I left he said he...

out of curiosity, did you replace the pilot bearing when you did your clutch? mine went on my stang and it vibrated, though not nearly as bad as you make it sound. Remember, when problems happen, its not necessarily 1 thing that went wrong, but a collection of things. What rear end and tranny do...

I have the C clip eliminator and 3 inch studs, but I don't know the width of the american racing rims. I don't know how wide I can go without risking too much (275 sounds like just a little too much, I just repainted the car and dont feel like rolling the fenders (the next thing will be a mini...

    Tires, need some opinions

Ok, I have a spool 8.8 rear with 3.73 gears and was looking at the tread on my previous tires and needless to say, I need some new ones :D I have been looking around, and the tires I had on before were Goodyear P245/50ZR15 on American Racing 5 lug rims. I had a normal DD tire on before but now...

Wheel studs broke, axle removal help

EHA Racing hit the nail on the head. It was C clip elim and the 4 bolts behind the hub freed up the axle and I pulled it with a slide hammer. Thanks a ton!

Wheel studs broke, axle removal help

I recently broke off a wheel stud and when I looked at the length of them, I need to remove the Axles to remove and replace them. The only problem is, THIS is what my rear end looks like (the way I bought it, I was expecting C-Clips and spider gears). ImageShack® - Online Photo and Video...
