On my car I run two axle straps to my front K member, in the rear i attach the straps to the holes to access the rear lower control arm bolts in the frame. Just remember to NEVER cross your straps! People will tell you it is the right way to do it but if you hit a good bump it will cause the car...
I would not drive the one piece Bogarts on the streets, but a 2 piece like the D10's would be fine.
I have draglites on my car 15x8 in the rear 15x3.5 in the front, and have no problem on the street, if i am not whipping it into corners.
Starting at $975?? Whoo Weee, thats expensive! I had a carb custom built specifically for my engine combo from Pro Systems, with billet metering blocks and base plates, the whole sha-bang for $700 shipped. Guaranteed within 2 jet sizes. The idle was even spot on out of the box.
