I just put on a set on my S197. They install with brackets that are double faced taped to the rear window. Before you go the Craigslist route check out Amazon and search on Astra Hammond. For about $190 or so shipped. Not sure they are available for your model though

I am pretty sure Whipple is cast aluminum and the KB is billet aluminum.

Anyone running drag radial as there street tire? I am aware they are not a rain tire but was looking for some feedback

Here is a article on connecting rods I found interesting http://www.enginebuildermag.com/Article/16280/connecting_rods_so_many_choices.aspx Although Torque is a big killer of rods, a increase in rpm's by 10% can add 40% loading to the rods.

Not sure about the other kits, but the 2.6 KB kit comes with a boost a pump for the S197. The KB street tune limit the rpms to 6k so as not to stress the rods. Hopefully this will help with engine life
