does that mean he wont be posting here anymore? lol.
unfortunately i'll be doing something similar :(
but hopefully it'll be another ford, something w/awd.
I gotta wait till we pay down the wife's cobalt and trade that for a new stang.
about the only way air pressure will help you unlock your car is if you have one of those inflatable bladders and a slim-jim to hit the lock button once you've pumped it up to get clearance. that's how the guys at AAA do it.
yeah, i've done that too. they seem good.
I really don't feel like putting more time/money into it.
Basically the old lady said "If you're gonna put more money into it, you're getting a new car"
so it's gotta go. either to someone here or it'll be traded in.
Thanks, and it's not really that high. Alot of v6's go 4.10. 3.73 wouldn't have been much different than stock. and i've driving on them for a while and they've never made any noise. It's def. suspension related. It's bottomed out on me a couple of times lately while turning. So idk what it is.
shocks seems to stabilize quickly. Where would I begin to look at the end links? I've got new bushings in the control arms on the rear end...
I think Im just gonna try and sell it for what I owe and get something else...
I've noticed a rather loud clunking noise when turning. I've also been bottoming out quit a bit. To me it seems like a bad shock/strut.
Sound about right?
I can't determine where it's coming from sometimes it sounds like the front, other times in the rear. So im just gonna go and do all 4 and...
I love my 4.10's too, but 3.73's would be a good choice for SC. and def for a 5-speed. 4.10's in a 5-speed means alot of shifting off the line. You'll get going, faster, but you'll burn through gears faster too at the cost of top end.
So the other day my shift indicator stopped working right. It just always stays in the park position. I think it's just a plastic piece that slides. Could someone take a pic of how it's supposed to look on the undeside so I can figure out where to pop it back in and hook it back up. and maybe to...
