    GT 40 Intake Question

Ive come across a 97 Explorer. Its a roll over and is being scraped. I got the intake off of it and the heads as well. 2 questions are coming to mind. Are the heads worth rebuilding? And what mods are required to fit the intake. I know the intake bolts on...but looking at some E-Bay adds...

    rewire of a 1980 hatchback

By the way if your not doing a Ford EFI swap your going to need a stand alone fuel management system and a dyno if you want to go with all custom wiring. The dyno is for tuning as stand alone is basicaly a blank computer you have to wire in everything and pick everything. I see you posted that...

    rewire of a 1980 hatchback

You can still buy the EFI harness right from Ford. Most of the aftermarket parts (CJ Pony parts and Late Model Restoration Supply are the cheapest) suppliers carry the harness. Painless also offers 2 kinds one for a Ford ECM and one with there own ECM. All of the options above are on the...

Any ever take their windshield out?

I used heat and a urethane knife that you can buy from MAC tools. Takes throw away razor blades. I went through about a dozen of them and cut around the perimeter twice. Once i cut through it a foot or so i sprayed WD 40 to keep itself from gluing itself back together.

from fuel inj. to carb engine swap

I think we should get back to the basics on the topic. What are the basic requirments to switch a former EFI car to carb. What can be reused and/modified to fit?

from fuel inj. to carb engine swap

You got remember that without the carb there would have never been fuel injection. Going back to the basics would mechanically do everyone a lot of good. Do you do all the work on your car? (Just wondering not trying to ridicule or make a point)

from fuel inj. to carb engine swap

I get that response a lot. I know carbs can be a pain in the arse but keep filters clean and good fuel and they work just fine. And but just my opinion nothing looks better the a big ol carb or two. It's a hotrod thing I guess. My mustang isnt being built for daily driving or racing...Its...

    rewire of a 1980 hatchback

EHA, where do you get all your weather pack connectors from? I have to rewire circuits on 18 wheelers a lot. I save the original oem connectors as long as I can but there are times when there isn't a connector left to save. Weather pack type are a lot better then the Delphi type connectors...

    rewire of a 1980 hatchback

I'm in the process of completely rebuilding my 87. Ground up. The best most logical way of doing what you are describing is rebuilding your existing harness. As long as it isn't missing. If it is ebay or bone yard. I took my harness and inspected, repaired and recovered in plastic...
