Yup, the last time I raced there on a Wed. I parked my car until after sunset. Couldn't see my tach at all whatsoever. Nada ... zero .. zippo. I understand you need to get the track when you can. I was that way too, raced there in the early 80's through the mid 90's. Heat cold, wind, whatever...

I prefer Saturday T&T's. Being an East/West track, barreling straight into the sun either means not being able to read my tach or waiting until after sunset to race. Not an issue for automatics I guess, but not so good for manual trans cars ...

For me ... 90 Degree Temps + Drag Racing = No Fun I'll be waiting for cooler weather. ;)

The car in the vid looks exactly like the '85 GT I bought new back in the day, same color even! And then I saw the GT's twin at a car show last week, an 1985 Capri 5.0! Ahhh, the memories ...

The CW is fairly close to me, I've eaten there on occassion. I don't think it's just classics. I've met the owners and they know I drive a newer Stang, they still invited me to stop by with my car. A bunch of us should do a gtg there some Sat. night ...

Re: Two '12 Ingot Silver 5.0's ^LOL Actually, I was quite pleased with my 11 V6. With 305hp it ran with pre-2011 V8's, getting me ~20 mpg city. If it wasn't for mega rebates on the 2012 cars, I'd still have it. :)

Re: Two '12 Ingot Silver 5.0's Ha! My car is a lowly base model with exactly ZERO options. It is literally the cheapest new 5.0 that a person can buy. :) To that, I waited until there was $3,750 in rebates. Everything said and done, there are new V6 Stangs that cost MORE than my 5.0. ;)
