When I worked down that way, I used to love the ride along 9W, 9D and Storm King Mountain...Great twisties, some hills and awesome views of the Hudson...Not sure if that fits your one hour criteria, but on a sunny day, a great ride on a cycle, or in my present case, a Mustang Convertible...
