  • 1999 GT Atlantic Blue, 18" Saleen Rims, BBK CAI and TB, just under 75,000 miles, Flow master cat back, and o/r X pipe. Car looks very clean, no rust or rot anywhere. $4,000. Is it worth it or should I try to find a 03-04 GT if I get a 2V?

Paint is good. Glossy. No rust or bubbles or anything. Undercarriage has typical dirt an dust, but no rust or rot. Car is garage kept. KB value is only around $6,000 for these cars, so the price to me seems pretty normal considering its just a GT and its almost 15 years old.

Garage kept is a plus. Sounds good.

for 4g's, if this car is in as good of shape as it sounds to be and i was looking to get one, I'd get it. Any of the differences between that one and a newer new edge will most likely be modded as most of us on this site do. I'd go for it.
Hmmm what type of Mustang to get. Don't want a Fox lol. Pushrod or Modular people? I want to get a very clean mustang that is capable of big power or can be built for cheap. I don't know which direction to choose lol. I do know of a very clean 94 GT for cheap though. Just trying to decide is tough lol. It'll mostly be a street car.

Well I didn't mean dirt cheap Zoomie lol. I mean more as in easier to build and get parts for. Not something where its all rare, hard to find and expensive because of such.

302 is the easiest to work on and get parts for it both new and used. even a 351 in cheaper than a 4.6, not knocking the 4.6 mind you, just cheaper to build is all.

I always thought that too, but the 4.6 blocks are much stronger being iron instead of aluminum. So I don't know. I think the end result will be very similar. As far as price, because the 302 you've gotta buy a stronger block, and better internals. The 4.6 block is fine, but better internals are needed if you plan on going over 450rwhp. So really its probably quite even when you really think about. T-5 is weaker than the T-45 and 3650. So I guess it depends on what kind of power we all want to have. My end goal will be a car that's built for 550-600rwhp. Nothing too crazy like some of these guys lol.
Hmmm looking into a different toy possibly. I'd love a Cobra, but this 2001 toy will eat one anyway lol. And for $7,000 with only 74,000 miles. And a 6 speed. It sounds quite tasty lol.

Its ok. Thanks. I'll check it out. Black/ Red are def preferred. Anything but white lol. Yellow is hit or miss with me. Sonic Blue,*Torch Red, Laser Red, Black, and Dark Shadow Gray are top on my list if I go with a New Edge.
99-04 2V GT? Or 96-98 4V Cobra? Which would you choose and why? I like both body styles. Just need help deciding lol. I decided against the 99/01 Cobra as most are either very expensive and overpriced, or have very high miles. 99-02 SS/Z-28 is still an option too lol.

new edge... But i am a huge fan of that body style over a sn95... And mine is proof you can build the shit out of a 2V

The only advantage your getting with the cobra is the fact that you'll get the 4v motor. Otherwise the 99-04 is better in so many ways. I would try to get an '03 or '04 since they're pretty much the best years in that model's run.
Sorry last post I should've been more descriptive of what I'm looking for. I'm looking to buy a very clean damage, rust, rot free Mustang. I'm looking to spend aprox around $7,000 or less. Mostly interested in 94/95 GT's or Cobra's, 96-98 Cobra's (maybe a very clean built GT), 99-04 GT's, 99/01 Cobra's. Fox may be possible if its immaculate, and supercharged or has a built motor/ swap, as I won't pay close to that kind of money for a Fox. No verts, and miles aren't a big deal. Must be clean and run great, no junk. If you know of any, hit me up. Thanks. :D
