Need some help. T-5 swap. Tador?

Hi everyone, i'm gonna have to swap a T-5 into my aod 86. The tranny is acting funny so it may go any day now(I beat it up pretty bad today). I have everything I need to do the swap. The only tricky part is my t-5 is from a 4 banger.
Tador was saying something about the shaft was a little different, and something needed to be drilled out? Please help. I may need to swap it in the next couple days.

From what I remember reading from a long time ago is that the input shaft is very slightly longer, enough that puts pressure on the crankshaft and over time wears the thrust bearing when mounted to the 8 cylinder. I think also the pilot bearing may be a diff size. I had a 85 Turbo T-bird that I converted to a 5.0 and I never had any problems, but the trans only lasted maybe 6 months then I use a 8 cyl. T5.

If you are junkyard or swap-meet hunting, keep in mind that the four-cylinder T5 transmission looks the same but actually has a longer input shaft and slightly smaller-diameter pilot shaft. If you bolt the four-cylinder T5 into a V-8 application, the clutch will chatter on engagement, because the pilot shaft is loose inside the pilot bushing. Worse yet, the longer input shaft presses forward into the crankshaft, placing pressure on the thrust surface of the main bearing, which will quickly destroy the bearing and cause major engine damage.
