Throttle Body and Intake spacers

A intake spacer increases the plenum volume on a engine with a very tiny plenum so you will see some gains. Most likely in the 5hp range.
A throttle body will increase the airflow to your car but remember the plenum is the bottleneck in the system, even the aftermakets have to shrink down to fit the intake manifolds. You will gain 3-5hp from one of these too. If you plan on going with full bolt-ons to a power adder look into a 75mm. If not then just pick up a Aviator TB for like 80 dollars as they are a Ford piece that fits perfectly and is 70mm.

I am planning to work on my car in stages, right now I am working on the intake. Later I am going to work on the exhaust. So far I have better upper intake and a cold air intake. I am planning to put a bigger throttle body on, but I was wondering whether or not to put a throttle body spacer and intake spacer on. Some throttle body spacers make the air twist while passing it, I didnt know if that was good to have or not. I am just trying to figure out what to do with my intake system to make it better, what size throttle body, spacers.... Any suggestions? (keeping it naturally aspirated)
The spiraling spacers are garbage. You want the air to come in straight, not tumbling randomly around. Honestly the larger the better when it comes to both. They serve to keep heat of of the intake manifold and increase the plenum volume. You will have to check the height of the plenum with a spacer though on a stock hood.
A 75mm TB is a good bet if you want to max out your breathing in the future.

i have a 1" tb spacer and a 1/2" plenum spacer. i cant tell by the seat of my pants if it was worth the money . if they say it gives some hp then i will take a chance. i found both new on ebay. they fit perfect. two things, 1- you will need a gasket between plenum and lower spacer, 2- the egr tube needs a little bending to reach the new height. they make a 1" plenum spacer but i think hooking up the egr would be hard without making it longer.

Eh. It is a matter of preference. The 75mm allows room to grow while not losing out on too much power, you might on a stock car make 1-2hp more with a 70mm but once you start to get deep into the bolt-ons the 75mm because the ideal choice. A TB is going to give you a couple hp any way you slice it though. You might feel a crisper throttle response but your butt isn't going to notice the difference between 3-5hp. It is a more of a gets better with more mods deal.
