Mach 1 belt squeal?

I recently bought an 03 mach 1. The car is an automatic unfortunately, but could not pass up the good deal. The only problem is when the car is under heavy load and shifts into third there is a small squeal. From research on the subject a lot of people say it's the belt. Has anyone had any issues like this or some helpful knowledge? Thanks for your time guys.

Under heavy load the tensioner TQS to much this causing the belt noise. You can run a after market tensioner, the factor ones are crappy.

Thanks alot guys for helping out. Im glad it seems to be something simple and cheap to fix. The car does have some impressive torque, it was a good purchase, but I am thinking of selling so that I can use the money on my 98 gt to put a kenne belle on as I originally planned.

I would rather keep your mach and sell the gt... the dohc will have a lot more potential than the 2v sohc.... and mach 1 is just cooler than a regular gt

Keep the Mach1,add a Supercharger ,Stall converter, tires, tranny cooler, and you will see 11s in the 1/4 all day long, Keep the boost down to 8lbs,mid 400 to rear wheels with a nice tune,, All I got on my auto Mach1 is a stall converter and gears and it makes a auto quite fun..
