I just sent an email to the Watkins Glen Park & Rec department requesting park information. I am leaning towards Lafeyette Park in the Village of Watkins Glen. There is plenty of space, and I believe there are grills. I should have an answer within a few days. I will be putting together a food list this weekend. I was thinking to keep it simple with hot dogs, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chips, drinks, salad, and desserts. If everyone could bring a dish to pass, it would help minimize the cost for everyone. More information will be posted in the next few days.

Erika, According to my list there are 27 people going so far. Zipperhead has more people on board to go, but I am waiting to hear more details about that. I am guessing the final number will be between 30 and 35 people.
Shady, As of right now there are no other kids going. I will double check and get back to you. It will be a family oriented event, so anyone's wife's, kids, girlfriends, or anyone else is welcome to come. Can you pm me your location, names of you and all guests attending. This makes it easier for me to keep everything organized.

I will have more information regaurding that later this week.
Anyone from the Rochester area will be meting up at Eastview Mall on Sunday morning at roughly 8-8.15ish because it is right by the threw way. The route from Rochester to Watkins Glen is: The threw way to exit 42(Geneva) and taking 14 all the way down to Watkins Glen(along side Seneca Lake). We meet the southern tier crowd as well as the Syracuse crowd at the Super Walmart in the Village of Watkins Glen at 9:45-10ish. We will all drive up to the track together where we will be parked in the paddock/garage area before we get to do our laps(pay $20 to the track). Afterwards we will head down to the park and hang and grill out. Lets just pray mother nature will coaperate.

1st meeting spot will be I81 exit 14(tully) at the nice n easy at 8 to 8:15am then we will stop off at the walmart on 281 in Cortland to meet up with mustangfan and anyone else
TThen its off to Watkins glen walmart to meet everyone else at 9:45ish
