Hey all - a little worried about fuel up top, thinking about adding a Kenne Belle Boost a Pump (BAP). What do you think about this graph? What are some of your experiences with KB's BAP? I have the stock fuel pump.

wow Mike, impressive #'s.. I know a lot of guys use them and i have never heard a complaint about them.

Mike your FP is maxed out (with hp) at WOT only, A/F ratio looks good as well....BAP would be a nice addition with the cool fall air for the track....Otherwise, I really think you're OK as long as you keep the set-up the way it is :)

wow nice numbers Mike, i'm surprised you're still on a factory pump. why get a BAP if you can just get the whole 255lph pump, svt focus pump is only about $95, others are little over $100

Can't see how it can hurt!
If it were me I would just drop a Focus pump and call it a day.

Hey mike, I went through all the same things when I procharged my 99 cobra. You can datalog your fuel pump duty cycle and see how close you are to pegging it. If you have a little room, I wouldn't make any changes. Otherwise, I would either add the BAP or upgrade to the 03 Cobra fuel tank and pumps. I tried the SVT Focus fuel pump route, and it is garbage!! A HUGE wast of time and money. I installed it before having my car tuned. It was still close to 100% duty cycle. I then added a BAP. Duty cycle was then good but I developed the "shift hesitation". I did the pprv delete to mitigate the problem to no avail. I then bought the 03 cobra tank and pumps. This cured all my problems. If you do decide to go the BAP route, I would recommend the 40amp. I called KB, and they said the 40amp is for 255lph pump and over. This would at least leave room for growth.

I'm running a boost a pump as well and just made 479 RWHP and the fuel system was only at 60% capacity with that much HP. Installation is as easy as cake!!

Also, as for the 40AMP BAP - It may be more then you need but it's adjustable so you will only have more room to grow. All you have to do is splice a few wires (Only 2 on my car) and boom it's like you added a 2nd fuel pump that can support 1,000HP with no problems...

I wired my BAP before the fpdm instead of after. I turned it up all the way and had it tuned. This way there is no guessing where the dial should be, etc, I had it tuned and burried the dial next to the spare tire so I didn't have to worry about it getting bumped.

IDK what I was thinking when I wrote the first post but I'm not on the stock fuel pump, I have a Vortech 255 lph in there that came with the kit. The BAP should go perfectly with it.

you should really add the bap. even though its only maxing out at wot thats when it could go bang. you dont want to run out of fuel at wot even though itd be short bursts(generally)
