sniper tuner

I have had good luck with my Sniper, I used it on my old F150 and my friends Mach 1. 4.10 gears/cold air/x-pipe/catback/Sniper tune 12.88@109 in o-k weather. Either one will work fine. Is it auto or 5spd? When you get into more mods there are alot more SCT dealer doing custom tunes, thats the thing SCT has over Sniper I would say. If you get a custom tune, it does NOT matter what they use to write the tune its the person doing the tune that matters. 
i wouldnt get into that.... id get an xcal3 from brenspeed - buy your parts from them and get free tunes! cant beat it.
tuning your car isn't that hard with a little research and know how. the special forces one is very good at adjustably, you can add degrees of timing globally, low, mid or high rpm(WOT) ad fuel at idle/cruise, WOT and low/mid/high rpm ranges. With a wideband i can data log with the included data logging software and my laptop and see graphs of what i just did. The sniper sf data logging software (recon) is pretty sweet

sct is the way to go. theres alot you can do with just the x3. you can change idle speed, adjust the spark. few basic stuff. but tuning is not for everyone. if you plan on tuning a car yourself go for the sct software. little pricy but pays off if you add alot of mods. but you need to know alot. ive watched instructional dvds, read 3 different manuals and have a spiral notebook full of notes and still end up wanting to shoot myself after looking at all the numbers for hours on end. oh and one wrong key stroke or math error tuning can blow your motor real quick.
I've used the Sniper (Delta Force now) Special Forces on 2 different vehicles and it works quite well. I used it on my '00 Harley F150 and my friends '03 Mach 1. There are alot of adjustments available, more so than most of the handhelds have.
The Delta Force Commando allows full user control much like the SCT Pro Race package. I have not used the Commando but I have not heard anything bad other than it is not quite as simple as SCT to use but the end result will be the same.
If you don't know what you are doing an have a power adder car you can blow it up with even a handheld really. If you don't mind learning get a wideband and go at it.
