Started my car today ...

Lets just say that she didn't like the nap. I got 2 new problems to fix.

To start with the battery was dead, so I had to jump it. No problems, it started right up. I'm just throwing the dead battery out there so you know.

First thing I see .... POW ... A flashing airbag light. I'll have to write down the sequence it was flashing, but I caught a "4 pause 2" twice. It did like 4 or 5 sequences then stayed on steady?

I was thinking it's just from not running for the better part of 4 months. So I let it sit and run for a good 45 mins, go back out and hope. No luck, light's still on.
Only now I see my tach on 0 RPM's ... it's flat-lined. WTF. I can rev it to make the tach climb but no where near where it should be. I'm pulling the motor this weekend so I'm not going to screw with it to much. But damn, I was going to get it inspected on my way to my buddies garage. That way I wouldn't have to worry about inspection after the new heads and tune.

I figure I'll post this in here. Just checked my emails.

I got my "your order has shipped" message, and a pile of tracking #'s from AM. Ordered last night around 8pm, shipped before noon the next day. F**kin' A1 service. :headbang:

Now I got to wait for the salesman from MMR to get back with a total $ and my heads, intake, tuner and new timing chain and guide set will be on the way too.

DO NOT leave your car sitting for longer than 2 weeks, you gotta start it once in a while and run it for at least 10 mins
as for the coming parts, congrats
not a fan of grills and chin spoilers on sn95's, but it looks like a nice list of parts

as for letting the car sit, the consensus is leave it runnin for 30mins once a week if ur not using it. my stang is my dd, so i never really stored it

I started my car every couple weeks last winter. I had all kinds of problems with condensation inside it. This year I leave it alone, no condensation but other issues. Oh well.

I also have another update on the ordering ....

Just got done ordering. I wish I had a discount code for them.

i rather not do it to my car,
you don't have to warm your car up before you go, but people who care about their cars do. i don't start driving until the needle gets to "N" on the gauge

Damn, I hope I don't get screwed by UPS.

My AM order is due in today but I have some worries. Some info ...

Of the 6 tracking #'s I have, 5 of them say that.
1 says this ...

That last 1 never left NJ.

It still says "on time" with a delivery date of 3/12/10, but ...

I've seen some really shitty threads on other mustang sites where UPS just completely loses people's stuff. Has no idea where it went. Makes you wait 4 - 8 weeks to see if it turns up somewhere.

Worst yet, that package weighs 24 lbs. It's got to be my clutch.:smash:

dont sweat it bro, when i purchased my exhaust last month it was the same thing, 1 was 35lbs and the other was 55. for some reason, things that get out of secaucus doesnt update as quickly as others. my package left there 2 hrs b4 the delivery time.

personally, i never had any problems with UPS. ive been using them forever without a single problem. its always dhl n fed ex that fucks shit up for me

That 1 tracking# shows arrival in NJ, then the delivery scan in Queensbury. :nono:

Anyways, I got all my visuals. Just waiting on MMR to ship. I'm going to call then around 5PM. They are in California so it'd be 2 there. Depending on when they ship, I'll rip into the car this weekend or the beginning of next week.

Why does she have to kick so hard when I wake her up.

Yesterday I took my new batt out of the Ranger and put it in the stang. Wasn't easy, I wouldn't drive anywhere with it, but it's hooked up.

Anyways, the car started fine. The tach worked fine, even after running for 30 mins. Didn't drop to o rpm's. The airbag light still stays on tho.

The code it's flashing is, 4-2. I found a site (http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/airBag/) for airbag codes. 4-2 is ... LH Radiator Primary Crash Sensor Feed/Return Circuit Open ... I'm hoping it just a bad connection on the sensor. I let her run of another 1/2 hour. Then for the hell of it I left the nice new battery in her overnight. Can't hurt, and who knows, she might like the good juice.

Well I go out this morning to start her up. NOTHING !!!! :smash:

All the dash lights cycle. Nothing when I turn the key. No light dimming, no click, no nothing. It's like I don't have the clutch pushed in, that kind of nothing.

I had to really fight to get the positive terminal hooked up so I'm thinking that while letting it sit overnight, something was stretched tight enough to pull loose. Time for the jack, and a little peekin' and pokin' around the starter.

On a side note ... MMR said my order would probably ship the middle of this week.

Well finally got another set of hand for some help today. Had a friend try starting it while I screwed with the solenoid and got her running. So no big deal there. I'll change that when the motor come out.

Once I get a good battery in her I'll start pokin' at the airbag sensors.:nono:

C'mon MMR. Weather's great, roads are real close. I'd like to be driving beginning of April.

I put the shorty antenna on today.

1st official mod of spring. I'll get some pics of the lights, but they won't go on until after the motor.
