to get the most out of a car you'll need to get a custom tune, but for simple bolt ons the tuner provides pretty decent tunes.

you just plug it in your car and it tells you what to do.
if you get a custom tune from bamachips or BBR for example, then they send you a file, you upload it on the tuner and then to the car.
it's easier then you can imagine
