Nobody said about letting it slide! ...Worst case, I'm sure you purchased with your CC, you'd have to call your CC within 30 days to dispute the charge since you did not receive the product you ordered...99% you end up with the product!! May take a little time, but it will show up...

Is LFP the best company, probably not (granted I've had luck in the past with them), would I order from the in the future? ...why not if they have the best price! ...We've all had problems with vendors, right down to Jegs & Summit...

Hope the correct stencil comes soon at any rate! :D

I personally would pay a little more for a product from a reputable company, rather then trying to save a few dollars and getting terrible service....been there, done that...never again....

There is a difference between bad customer service, rebadgeing other manufactures product as your own, shipping mistakes, etc. and out right dishonesty.

LFP STOLE a photo of Ray Hilton's Boost Overlay, put the photo on their site as their own product and then DEFRAUDED customer off by substituting and shipping their own inferior Boost Overlay to customers who ordered the Overlay from their site. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums/terminator-talk-229/657089-ive-been-ripped-off-dont-you-fooled-too.html


I would rather pay a little more or do without a COBRA/SVT stencil, than support a thief.


Do business with them and you just might be their next victim.

I've seen this "thread" over & over Rich... :idk: ...are they both at fault?? Maybe! ..Did Ray protect himself? Maybe, maybe not! ...It's a difficult situation that we all deal with...and we ALL deal with this day in and day out! ...For the most part (99%), have no need to give LFP my business!

I don't see how Ray could possibly be at fault. Did he do the best job at protecting himself, obviously not. But just because I leave my door unlocked does not mean I am at fault if someone comes in and robs my house.

... :idk: ... ask a insurance company "who's" at fault if you leave your keys in the ignition & someone steals your car and there's a claim...I KNOW the awnser to this one (and no, this has never happen to me...)

I do feel bad for Ray!!!! ...Like I've said, I have no reason to use LFP!

Rob got his stencil....Buyer beware for everyone!

The reason there is shared liability is in most insurance policies (a contract) the insured agrees to take reasonable steps to protect the car.

This does not benefit thief who commits the crime. So, Ray's insurance carrier may have a defense as to his claim for loss due to the theft, LFP does not have a leg to stand on.

It doesn't matter if you're wrong or right, it's all about how much money you have and who you know. When it comes down to it, money runs this country, not the laws and it's bullshit!!

Having more money definitley counts but mostly in high profile cases, on the other hand, there are your average joe's sueing big companies and winning cases... companies have more money, how come they lose some of these cases?

We're getting into a more controversal topic.

Because the company would rather just shut the guy up if it's not that much $$. I think this is a fine topic, as long as it doesn't turn into political side bashing.:awesomework:
