Maaco?

hows it goin guys, ive been thinking about going to a maaco for some minor body dents and some fresh paint. has any1 dealt with them before? any complaints??

i havent seen any1 with a macco job done, was hoping for the best but i wont take any chances on my baby

...Sometimes a little mom & pops paint shop has some real good deals!!

They hire the people that can't get jobs @ body shops because they aren't good enough!! DON'T go there unless you just want it slapped together. You will get runs and orange peel everywhere..

My brother used them to paint his vette a couple years ago.

There is a great paint shop upstate in Latham Called Bazars. He has painted my truck, multiple cars for me and also painted ColdCougar's (todd) car 2 times! He is good and has a great reputation.

does he also do some body work? they are just minor dents. i am willing to travel all the way up there for a great job

Yes he does everything. He is great and will hook you up nice! They have been in buisness over 30 years. They are a family friend and I stand by his work 100%

ok, latham is about a 2 and a half hour drive. im going to check something locally in nyc. if no1 has any good suggestions. im going to make that trip out there. u seem very confident in his work

Someone side swiped my F250 and he fixed it and I had him paint the whole truck. He did a GREAT job and hooked me up nice too!!!

I had Maaco in Mt Vernon paint my volvo in 2000 and would never step foot in Maaco ever again. Needless to say the job was sub-par

the majority are crap, but there are good ones- just none here. Ive seen a few maaco jobs that look damn good- although the owner did a lot of prep work beforehand

All parts that I have bought for my car have been painted by Warren's Auto Body in Duanesburg, NY... A mom and pop paint shop, not to mention they are also friends of my brother since he was growing up.

They don't slack, he makes sure there is NO orange peel and there is a thick layer of clear coat not a small minuscule layer. Check out the pictures thread on my hood- he painted my hood for me and let's just say the price he did it for won't come close to any other paint shop in the area...along with my chin spoiler which was painted there too.

The only people that work there are him and his wife, no employees, he won't trust them so he does not hire them if that tells you anything. Remember, he started the business because he likes what he does, an employee might not like what he does but does it to get paid which means he will slack eventually...
