my bolted on 5.o vs stock 2005 civic si

i got a 88 5.o with a cobra manifold bbk headers flowmaster mufflers h pipe king cobra clutch and i could barely beat a stock civic si whats my problem

civic si is around 197 flywheel hp, revs to 8k has a 6 speed, doesnt weigh much. they run high 15's stock tho

A basically stock 5.0 usually runs a high 14 at best. Theyre not as fast as everybody seems to think they are.

I thought mine was fast until it ran a 15.7 at the track.

A 5.0 can run a 14.5, 14.6 will very good driver

i understand the times they run but i got a 8cyl that has double the tourqe of the civic si and it has a 4cyl rear cuz the guy i bought it off kept his rear and gave me this 1 to get it home still i should have walked that car by lenths espilally on a 2nd gear pull

My no option 87 coupe 5 spd ran 13.5 on drag radials with the exact parts your running. Had stock 308 gears cobra intake 65 mm tb and 1 5/8 unequal headers 2.5 h, 2.5 flowmasters. Is yours auto or stick? Speed density or mass air?

Unless it was boosted or built motor, it takes quite a bit to get them in low 13's.
