So i recieved my september issue of game informer and as I turn the pages i find this information, i almost pissed myself laughing lol:D



Failure Rate
Xbox 54.2 %
Ps3 10.6%
Wii 6.8%

Ps3 14.7%
Wii 11%



% of owners who have had friends who had console failures
Xbox 69.9%
Ps3 12.4%

% of people rated customer service as Helpful
Nintendo 56.1%
Sony 51.1%
Xbox 37.7%



Percentage of respondents who said they would never buy an Xbox system again because of system failure: 3.8%
The majority of repairs for each console took 2 to 3 weeks, but Microsoft drifted upwards toward a month. Nintendo and Sony meanwhile, trended sooner at one week

The unreliable Xbox 360 isn't stopping it's fans from buying new ones. The percentage of owners of failed 360's who have bought more than one: 36.4%. This is compared to Sony's 13.4% and Nintendo 8.4%. Makes you wonder how legit the 360's sales numbers are.

The fact that you would piss your self over joy from reading a video game magazine is pretty funny.:rofl: Anyways, PC FTMFW when it comes to games.

xbox is an amazing system with that one flaw. people get the red ring and dont want to wait, or they voided the warrenty somehow and just buy another system. thats why the sales are so good.

The 360's rate of failure is higher because it actually has games that you would want to play, unlike PS3 :D:D I mean how could the PS3 fail if it is sitting there not being played :D:D

the halo series is one of the biggest multiplayer games ever made, not to mention more people play CoD of xbox than PS3

Xbox360 has been out longer then ps3 so that also accounts for the failure rates. Xbox360 has alot more games out then ps3 right now and people are buying them up like mad. Also games for the xbox360 tend to be cheaper then the ps3 version. XBOX LIVE is the biggest factor why the xbox360 still sells more then the ps3.

these are the daily average of use for the number in the poll

Xbox 360 t3to 5 hrs 40.3%
Ps3 3 to 5 hrs 37%


I have the orginal PS3 60gb system with the sd card slots i leave my ps3 on for over 10 hrs a day daily and i have yet to have a failure on it, i have friends who have had failures within 3 hrs of buying there new 360's and this is after Microsoft said we fixed the problem.

They both have internet, but the user interface is RADICALLY better on the xbox 360. Not to mention people PAY to use xbox live and ps3 online is free. The achievements that give you gamerscore is a huge factor in buying all of the games that come out
