The proper way to weld axle tubes is to put a jig on a empty rear. If you weld without supporting the tubes they can warp or move and then it wont be square. Also the Strange c-clip eliminators use timken bearings and work really well without leaking. I have them and have been beating the crap out of them with no problems.

X3! I did the 31 spline c clip axels and a Torsen t2 and i will be redoing it all over again.Do it right the first time and be done with it.

You install 9" ends on the housing, not 9" axles because the wont fit.
This is what you need:
9" ends & retainers with 8.8 mounting holes. (Must be welded in a jig)
9" bearings to press on your axles.
8.8 axles
carrier/spool/locker
gears
shim kit (or reuse)
bearings (or reuse)
weld axle tubes (in a jig)
diff. girdle.
gear oil

Easy enough!! :rock:

Classic tube offers stainless steel brake kits for fox bodies and other mustangs as well. They can also do custom work as well. (Ie. a 9 minch rearend swap:))
