Speculation: 2011 Ford Mustang GT With 430HP?

The engineers from Ford have started working on improving the new Mustang generation. The main modifications consist in mounting a new engine, as well as upgrading the tyres.

For the 2011 version of the Ford Mustang GT, the auto builders from Ford have chosen a new V8 5 liter engine with 32 valves, which outputs a maximum of 400HP and a torque of 542Nm. This new engine is currently known under the code name Coyote. By choosing this engine, the Ford Mustang GT will be able to match its main rival, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, which has a maximum of 426HP.

The new Mustang GT will probably be equipped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, which could be part of the optional package called Track Pack. The same tyres are used on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. This modification giwill probably give the Mustang GT better handling, as well as higher speed.

WOW nice!!!!. I have heard about this Coyote motor, but didn't know it was 4V motor, cool On the other hand the Pirelli tires are very,very good summer tires, but they want nothing to do with wet or cold weather. I guess it is all out performance with this one

roush stangs are overrated and a waste of money IMO. the red one that metro has is $45k. its a stage 1 ( just a body kit ) WTF. thats insane

Hmm if they can do that with a gt why the hell can't they make a dual overhead cam v6 that puts out 250+hp? I know alot of the import can so why ford? Also they put decent mpg too. Just a suggestion for ford...more hp for v6's. I can't wait to see the new gt's next year in person and hear that coyote motor.

I'm sure they could, but why? That would be one less person buying a GT I would imagine.

Nope not really gt that push's 400+hp vs sixxer pushing 250+ hmm if i wanted raw power i would buy the gt and if i wanted enough power to cream imports but not to much i would buy the v6.

Oh yeah remember how sixxer's are sold compared to gt's? Remember sixxers are the backbone of the mustang line. Without you wouldn't have many running around today.

Im looking forward to this, but I can bet ya , they wont have forged internals like Terminators do !! I dont believe Ford can afford to Forge the engines and have IRS. I wish they would have the rear suspension optional for IRS or solid axel

Some of the guys at car and driver have spotted more 2011 Prototypes at a $60/person run what ya brung track event. They believe that they were working on an even more potent Track Pack then the one that is currently in the 2010 Mustang. I think that this Mustang is going to be the best all around Mustang ever. I'd give you the link in the writing form like Mike does but I don't know how.
