I ordered the car from Ford in 1982 with every option available and the biggest motor was a cylinder. When the motor went bad I installed a 351 Boss motor out of a wrecked 1971 Boss Mustang and put an A.O.D. Transmission with a 2200 rpm stall speed convertor and an 8.8 rear in it. The cars only weighs 2625 lbs. and goes like hell. I built Ram Air for the engine and hid the exhaust behind the rear wheels The car runs mid 13's with 3.08 gears and street tires and gets 23 miles per gallon on the higway.
